Perspective is a valuable skill I see that many innovative creators and brilliant CEO's possess. It gives them so see everyone's opinion with clarity and it helps them understand why they think that way.
I was recently at the Onnit: Design Your Life event hosted by CEO Aubrey Marcus and social media giant, Gary Vaynerchuk. While Aubrey was giving his introduction he gave a really good example of how perspective works in the real world. I roughly remember it but it went something along the lines of this:
"I was playing hoops in my front yard when a kid on a bike went used the ditch as a ramp." The actual example was a lot longer but you get the jist of it. In Aubrey's perspective the ditch was nothing, but to the biker it was a mini stunt park.
We all see the world with our unique perspectives. And they are one of the many things that make each and every one of us different and special. We see the world as we see ourselves.
Being a visionary allows you too see everyone's perspective. And that makes them valuable. Being able too see problems from many angles is why visionaries are so successful at what they do And if we everyday learn to see and understand everyone's perspective. We can too become visionaries.
